The “Summer Twilight” Ballroom Showcase and Competition has been scheduled for Sunday, August 19, 2012, at the very wonderful Central Coast Restaurant & Dance Club in Fort Atkinson, WI.
Submit your entries before August 10th! Some of the entry forms can be downloaded from the Summer Twilight website. There is a blueprint of the dance floor there to help you map out your choreography, etc.
Nathan Daniels will be the judge again for this event and will be offering written feedback for all events (freestyles, solos, etc.) for those who are competing. The students who had attended last year found much value in getting this feedback, and from such a prominent judge. Also, if anyone would like to work with him, he will be coaching at the Dance on Air studio the next day, Monday. Contact them to reserve a time for you.
Standard will be first followed by Latin, then Smooth to Rhythm, with solos and formation performances in-between. After Nathan Daniel’s workshop, the delicious dinner will be followed by top performances from the studios and exciting professional guest performances. A photographer and videographer will be there again this year, and great food and company as always!
